ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT SITUATION: NOT EVERYTHING IS NEGATIVE

Today marks five days since the State of Alarm decreed by the Government of Spain came into force. Five days of confinement, of complex work-life balance, of impatience, of worry, of difficulties and, in many cases, of desperation. Five endless and intense days that have helped us get a rough idea, at least, of the eternity that the next few weeks (or months) could become, during which, predictably, this exceptional panorama will continue. and unprecedented in our country.

But we think that not everything has been negative. Leaving aside the exceptions that represent the irresponsible acts of certain individuals, who seem not to want to become aware of the seriousness of the situation, there have also been five days during which citizens have shown commendable displays of social commitment, reflective capacity, effort solidarity, civic sense, professional ethics, camaraderie and empathy. Five days to feel proud of our spirit of sacrifice and our determination to reach as soon as possible the long-awaited turning point of that famous “V” that, they say, will draw the graph of this crisis. Five days in which mental health has been revealed as the best weapon to combat the lack of physical health.

THANKS AND CONDOLENCES: WE ARE WITH YOU

For many more than five days, certain groups have been fighting tirelessly against the Coronavirus, risking their lives to save those of others. I think that their recommendations, their dedication and their know-how deserve more than just a massive applause a day. Doctors, nurses, assistants, guards and others involved. Thanks from my heart.

We would also like to take advantage of these lines to give encouragement to all the patients affected, to a greater or lesser extent, by Covid19, and to convey our most sincere condolences to all the members of the closest environment of each fatality. These official figures, of which we are so concerned, hide personal dramas and high doses of suffering. Force.

The first, to whom we owe body and soul, it is important that they know that we will not cease in our efforts to mitigate the impact of the avalanche of cancellations, the drop in demand and mobility restrictions. Every step we take, every initiative we launch, every new development, aims to improve your critical situation.

It is time to once again emphasize the tandem we make up. If you stop pedaling, the bicycle stops, and we can assure you that, of course, we are not in the business of stopping. We have rope for a while and the firm intention of pulling the cart as long as our legs hold out. Direct consequence of having come across all this with our homework done.

We are little ants, the kind they save for the winter. In eight years of experience we have not spent a single euro that we have not generated. We have never invested without previously having the necessary capital. And we have always maintained sustained growth of around 30%. That is why we are certain that the sun will soon rise, and we will be more than prepared, almost in an advantageous position, to offer the best service when the expected post-crisis sales rebound arrives.

For the latter, our dear team, we are not sure if we will be able to find the right words. We are excited to think about their dedication, their loyalty, the way they adapt to any circumstance, their seriousness and professionalism. Even before offering the possibility of working from home, a measure in which we anticipated the subsequent state imposition of doing so, we had already implemented all the safety protocols and health recommendations suggested by the Ministry of Health, prioritizing well-being. of the workers above any other criteria.
